Saturday 16th September:
65e15366-74ec-44cc-abb6-e5069341e597.jpgRelax and create on this special one day course, combining the healing powers of plants with a yoga session to settle your being;
I’ll introduce and explain the dye process, we’ll look at dyed examples and hopefully go for a walk to gather.
After a drink and homemade cake, we’ll begin to make your dyed samples. Before lunch we’ll be joined by Rachel who will lead our Yoga practice to help us to limber the neck, shoulders and upper body so that we are comfortable and at ease whilst we are at work. We will ground and earth our energies through the use of standing postures and a couple of energising sequences.
After a shared lunch you’ll progress to make your own beautiful soft and warming wool/silk wrap, patterned and dyed with plants known for their healing, medicinal properties, such as turmeric, rose, walnut, St. Johns wort and indigo… perfect for relaxation after yoga, meditation time or a chilly summer evening! The day will end with a stretch and relaxation before returning home with your beautiful personal piece of work.

Yoga is a celebration of our life and our movement and creativity that grows from within our own journey into ourselves.

This course will be held in Bonvilston Reading Rooms, just outside Cardiff on the A48. From 10.30am – 4.30pm. It’s a cosy lovely space, easily accessible by bus or car, with free parking.
We’ll provide nice coffee, teas and cake – please could you bring a plate to share for lunch and your own yoga mat and block. Dress to relax, bring an apron and gloves if you want, and any fallen flower petals or interesting leaves you’d like to incorporate into your work.
