BBC Countryfile

A couple of weeks ago I had two days with a lovely BBC Bristol crew and presenter Anita Rani, filming for the Countryfile Autumn special which aired on 23rd October. I spent a great day at beautiful Sharpham Park Estate, the home of Roger Saul, founder of Mulberry and Kilver Court, as they started their first ever commercial walnut harvest. I have since revisited to collect loads of wonderful walnut husks for me to use in Colourfield winter collection of beautiful, sustainable textile products and our special walnut w/inc™.

Then day two was a bit of a contrast! -We filmed in my compact and bijou inner city workshop in Cardiff. I was making my walnut w/inc™, dyeing recycled parachutes, screen printing a walnut tree image and Anita had a go at writing with the walnut ink and a quill. The response to the program has been really amazing – loads of lovely comments, lots of interest in my work and orders, which I’m doing my best to respond to as soon as I can!
